Oremus (Let Us Pray)

To be a follower of Jesus, one must pray. Like the disciples we ask often “Lord teach us to pray”. We are going to offer an eight week program to open our minds and hearts to this gift of prayer. Starting April 12/16 from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, immediately following the noon mass.

Messages from St. Michael's Pastoral Staff

Jubilee
of
Mercy

         Merciful like the Father
is the "motto" of this Holy Year. In mercy we find proof of how God loves us. He gives his entire self, always, freely, asking nothing in return. He comes to our aid whenever we call upon him. The assistance we ask for is already the first step of God's mercy toward us. He comes to assist us in our weakness. And his help consists in helping us accept his presence and closeness to us. Day after day, touched by his compassion, we also can become compassionate toward others.

Aftercare for Bereaved Parishioners

Following the death of a loved one, many people struggle in silence to resume anything resembling their former lives. St. Michael’s Parish recognizes the challenges faced by survivors of life changing losses and intends to introduce an initiative of Aftercare for those who may be interested. The intent is not to provide a prepackaged, time limited program, but one based on the needs of the participants.  We propose a co-facilitated gathering of people who are journeying through the grief process in a spirit of mutual support. Our mission is to give voice to our inner loneliness and set the path of our grieving in a new direction.  If this initiative speaks to you as a participant, you may register by contacting the Parish Secretary (519-433-6689) with your name and contact information. You will be personally contacted with time, date and parish location for a mid October start-up.
